Why Loose Weight This Way?

 

There are lots of sites about weight loss out there, so I'll not reduntantly list them all. We're following the Weight Watchers International Inc program because (1) it can't hurt, (2) it's convenient for the family, (3) it does supply a support group, (4) it encourages a wide variety of foods, and (5) there's nothing extreme about it. A simple formula - burn more calories than you take in and you will loose weight. Basically Weight Watchers has a (relatively) simple way of monitoring input, with target input ranges, while encouraging a low fat, high fruit and veggie diet - you can eat anything but the 'healthier' the food is, the more of it you get to have. They suggest a minimum of 6 glasses of water a day, and daily physical activity above whatever you get normally - so, yes, if you're a postman who walks 12 miles a day you still need to get some exercise when you get home -- they changed exercise to 'activity' lately because they felt it might be intimidating - but we all know what it means. But walking, golf and gardening do count. You can also 'bank' a few points if you know an unavoidable blow-out is comming soon, like that pizza party this weekend.
