Now before going on, I'd like you to read some of the best commentary on all this that I've come across. They were sourced from Raynor's Lane TaeKwonDo Academy in England. The author is listed as W. Rhee but nothing else about him/her is mentioned. As far as I can find, this is the only source on the net for these insightful articles. I've taken the liberty of reproducing them here, primarily because so often really good material disappears never to be found again.

As a side note, sometime later this page came to Mr. Rhee's attention and he kindly writes (18January2003):

Mr. Stableford, I was not aware of your site until recently and was rather flattered by your posting of my articles on found in "www.raynerslanetkd.com" regarding TKD. The original post "General Choi, ITF, & WTF" was posted about 3 years ago in the TKD newsgroup (alt.martial-arts.tae-kwon-do). When I saw people with piecemeal knowledge of the title arguing against each other, I thought I would clarify some points. But it got longer than I had anticipated. Your site is very well done and impressive. What I wanted to add was that my article on the "Rayner's Lane site was actually an edited version on "Future of TKD" . The entire article can be found by going to "www.deja.com" and typing in with the quotes: "ITF" "WTF" "General Choi" Best Regards, W. Rhee
