My Best Routines

I have the privilege of being in a school still young enough that I can introduce some firsts. Although not the fastest, strongest, or flashiest member by far there are still things I can offer the club that haven't been done before. I'd hate to be in a place where it's all been done before and probably better.
I tend to view these as entertaining and perhaps enlightening in theme, if not execution.

So this is for the folks out there that haven't been there/done that.

Among what I consider to be my coups are:

Breaks:

Concrete: 5 slabs of 2 inch concrete (with half inch spaces) - palm heel
Boards: 3 wet one inch boards with a reverse.

Routines:

One: For my Black Belt grading, I bought a hollow aluminium tube, drilled 600 holes in it and slide glo-lights down inside for my routine to 'Man of La Mancha' in the dark. Used the ground hugging fog. Practice Pics.

Two: To a customized version of 'Rawhide' used implements found around an old west campfire as kobudo weaponry. A shovel, commercial spatulas, long handled ladles, and two frying pans. Cowboy hat and a large sign proclaiming the 'Circle V' ranch.

Three; A new sai routine with flips and twirls, that was, talk about your great honour, incorporated into the senior curriculum. My sai are, in passing, totally awesome - go here and get some.

Four: Preamble suggested other ways of coping with violence. Placed paper bag over head. Had Fred Middleton and Norm Macneall break posts from 'white picket fence' over various body parts. The scene was originally set as 'warm October evening', 'full moon' - Buffy fans know where this is going. At the first sign of aggression from the boys - single middle distance, medium volume howl from plant in the audience. At the fifth break a crescendo of howls. I stop, take off the bag to reveal a wolf's head mask. Vandals take off. Small children are tantalizingly frightened. Details.

And remember you saw it here FIRST.
